It's parent's night for our lady Islanders basketball team. Thanks to all of our parents for their sacrifices to make this a great season for our team. We appreciate all the support! Here are senior members.
The girl's JV Islanders basketball team dropped a tough one tonight to the Sault Blue Devils. 42 to 33.
What a great chance for a great day of LSSU athletics!! It also happens to be the same day our 7th and 8th Grade Boys teams compete at LSSU!!
Mark your calendars! We have been able to add one more game to our Boys JV and Varsity Schedule. On Wednesday, February 21, Stephenson will be traveling to Cedarville to play at 5:00.

DeTour and DATA Schools, including the surrounding area, have lost power. Drummond Island does not seem to be affected. Students will be released from school at normal dismissal time.
Because there is no school today, there will be NO Girls Elementary Basketball practice.
Huge kudos to James Geyer, Cody Potvin and Nick Huyck for organizing this amazing opportunity for our kiddos tonight at LSSU! These boys had everyone in the gym cheering for them. Thank you, LSSU and Norris Contracting for the experience!
Good Saturday afternoon all DeTour Area Schools, DATA and Drummond Island Elementary students and their parents and guardians. Because of increased illnesses towards the end of this past week, and students either not coming to school or leaving school during the school sday, we are canceling school for Mon. 12 February

Monday, February 12, our Elementary Girls Basketball season kicks off for all girls in Grades 3-6 in both DATA and Drummond Elementary.

Congratulations to our Spelling Bee winners! They will now compete in the E.U.P. Regional Spelling Bee at Pickford High School on February 21st @ 4:00pm. Keep up the great work! We are very proud of each of you.
There will be NO JV or Varsity Girls Basketball practice today, February 9.
Also, 7th and 8th Grade Basketball practices will be from 3:00-4:30 in Cedarville.
We hope to see you all in DeTour tonight for our JV and Varsity Boys games starting at 5:45. We will have Parents and Seniors Night between the JV and Varsity games; and our K/1 Little Islanders Showcase will take place at halftime of the Varsity game.

Can you find your way out of the woods? Our kids can, they are Pathfinder Certified! Today, Drummond Island 3rd-6th graders and DATA 4th & 5th graders traveled to LSSU. They learned all about orienteering. Such as, how to use a compass, read maps and measure their paces.
There will be NO JHBBB practices today, February 8.
The Girls Varsity Basketball game in Brimley is stil on for a 6:00 start, and our JV and Varsity boys are still practicing today in Cedarville.

Drummond Island kindergarten through second grade students enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of sledding. After sledding, everyone enjoyed some hot cocoa and pizza. Thank you to Drummond Island Resort for hosting us.

Varsity Girls are practicing in DeTour at 3:30 and our JV and Varsity Boys are playing in St. Ignace starting at 5:45.
