Good morning, Islanders! Tonight, our JV and Varsity Lady Islanders are both playing, but in two locations. Our JV girls will play in Brimley, starting at 5:45...and our Varsity girls will be in Rudyard for a 6:30 start. The bus will be leaving DeTour at 3:45 and picking up Cedarville at 4:15. JV Boys Basketball practice today, January 23, will be from 3:30-5:00 in Cedarville.
DeTour is in need of a few extra pairs of elementary snow pants(sizes 6-12) and snow boots(elementary sizes). These are for students who either do not have any or need to borrow them for the day. If you are able to help, please drop off any donations to the main office. Thank you.
The Lions are about to take on Tampa Bay, and a lot of you will be glued to the TV this historical day for the team. We wanted to remind everyone that tomorrow (22 January) is picture retake day
1/20/24 Ski Trip Details:
Drummond Island students will be picked up at the 3:10pm boat. Pick up at 3:20pm at DeTour Schools and 3:30pm at Albany Bar.
They fought hard until the end, but the varsity boy's basketball team lost to Pickford this evening 77 to 46.
JV Islander boy's basketball team lost a tough one against the Panthers of Pickford 47 to 21
Please mark your calendars...on Thursday, January 25, while our Varsity Girls are in Rudyard, our JV Girls will be playing in Brimley at 5:45.

We want to announce that we have a make-up date for the JH Boys and Varsity Girls teams at Engadine.
We are going to play ALL THREE games on Wednesday, January 24...in Engadine...starting at 4:00.
Our 7th and 8th grade teams will play, concluding with our Varsity Girls.
We will let everyone know our departure time as we get closer to the end of the week.
As for the Stephenson game, we are discussing how to make it up, or if we can at all. As soon as we know we'll pass the information along.
We hope to see you in DeTour tonight where our girls JV and Varsity host the Brimley Bays starting at 5:45...GO ISLANDERS!!!

We have also decided to cancel all practices for today, January 12, so our students can all safely get home before the storm rolls in. We'll announce any make up dates as soon as we have details finalized.

Nasty roads, high winds, blowing snow, and dropping temps are the reasons. Includes CTE and The Learning Center. Please Share!

Lady Islanders took on Burt Lake in their first action of the new year this evening. Burt Lake tied it up in the 4th quarter and went on to take the victory, 35 to 30.

Today, our some of high school students decided to cook breakfast for the other students and staff...we have some great aspiring cooks walking our hallways.
