We want to announce that we have a make-up date for the JH Boys and Varsity Girls teams at Engadine.
We are going to play ALL THREE games on Wednesday, January 24...in Engadine...starting at 4:00.
Our 7th and 8th grade teams will play, concluding with our Varsity Girls.
We will let everyone know our departure time as we get closer to the end of the week.
As for the Stephenson game, we are discussing how to make it up, or if we can at all. As soon as we know we'll pass the information along.
We hope to see you in DeTour tonight where our girls JV and Varsity host the Brimley Bays starting at 5:45...GO ISLANDERS!!!
Island Raiders, in the event that you lose power on the Island, please know that you can take shelter at the Elementary School on the Island as our generator is up and running. IF you need shelter, please get ahold of Ms. Plowman: ellyf@eupschools.org or Mr. Vaught: rvaught@eupschools.org. We will both be checking our emails on our phones throughout the storm. With today's expected and likely snow and wind coming into our area, we have decided to cancel the following games for today and tomorrow:

JV/V BBB @ Stephenson
JHBB @ Engadine (Saturday)
We have also decided to cancel all practices for today, January 12, so our students can all safely get home before the storm rolls in. We'll announce any make up dates as soon as we have details finalized.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and the fine learners of our districts. Having just spoken to both teams at the county garages. DeTour Area Schools/DATA will be closed tomorrow, 1/10/2024. Nasty roads, high winds, blowing snow, and dropping temps are the reasons. Includes CTE and The Learning Center. Please Share!

Lady Islanders took on Burt Lake in their first action of the new year this evening. Burt Lake tied it up in the 4th quarter and went on to take the victory, 35 to 30.
The ski bus is arriving in Cedarville in the next couple of minutes

day for our 1st Ski Club trip at Nubs Nob!
Today, our some of high school students decided to cook breakfast for the other students and staff...we have some great aspiring cooks walking our hallways.
Today, our preschoolers visited Harbour View Assisted Living in town and did a little caroling and reading a Christmas story to some of the folks residing there!

Monday, January 22...our JV Boys and Girls Basketball teams will host Pickford in DeTour at 5:45.

The varsity boy's basketball team lost tonight to Alpena, 66 to 34.
We are having a little Christmas present wrapping fun at halftime.
Great win for our JV boy's basketball team. They took down Alpena 71 to 65.
We received word from Alpena that they got a later than expected start to DeTour, so the JV tip-off might be delayed 15 minutes or so.
