Parents/Guardians of our Drummond Island, DeTour High School/Middle School students,
We have been asked to remind parents that the transfer station at the Drummond Island County Garage is not a pick-up or drop-off point for our students. There have been incidences in which we may have inadvertently put some students in harm’s way by allowing the practice to occur.
Coupled with the parking issues there and the possibility of blocking our County Garage team from doing their work, and in the name of safety for our students, starting tomorrow, 4 December 2025 if you wish to drop them off or pick them up, please do so at our designated stop at the Drummond Island Elementary School. In the morning, that would be at approximately 7:30am and in the afternoon at approximately 4:00pm.
