UPDATE!! DeTour Area Schools Families,  we are excited for the upcoming school year and hope to see everyone at the OPEN HOUSE on September 1st!  We have had several questions on what supplies will be provided by the school? Although each classroom may be a bit different depending on age and subject, DAS will be providing the basic, necessary in class materials.  This includes items such as, paper, pencils, pens, class notebook, folders, highlighters, crayons, clue sticks, etc.  We will not be providing items such as backpacks, water bottles, trapper keepers, gym shoes.

We enjoyed a beautiful day in Cedarville Thursday! Thank you to the Green Thumb for taking the time to show our kids around, and allowing each of our students to take home a flower or tomato plant. We were able to enjoy a delicious lunch and An-Gios and then wrapped up our day with a gorgeous hike! We couldn't have ordered better weather!

We're thrilled to be able to attend the "Singing Zoologist" performance on May 21, 2026 with our Drummond Island Elementary students. This performance focuses on Zoology through song, dance and interactive conversations. We will depart on the 9:10 am ferry and return on the 3:40 pm ferry. Please note that this is a later ferry due to road construction. We'll enjoy lunch at B.C. Pizza in St. Ignace. All bus students will be on their regular routes. If you plan to pick up students from school they will arrive at the school by 4:00 pm. We are looking forward to another wonderful learning adventure!
