Welcome! This is a picture I took during a bike trip to Crater Lake in July of 2016. We biked around the entire rim of the volcano. It's one of the deepest lakes in the world and some of the bluest water imaginable! 

Meet the Teacher

I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After earning a Bachelors degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia I added teacher certification credentials in Social Sciences, Business and Math at the University of Michigan. I also have Master degrees in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College and in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University. I enjoy spending time with friends and family while taking full advantage of the wide range of outdoor activities available around our home on Drummond Island. My teaching philosophy is to help my students reach their full potential as students and citizens by developing critical thinking skills, collaborative learning and encouraging intellectual curiosity.
