    • Graduate of Michigan public high school
    • Will attend a Michigan public community/junior college, a four-year degree-granting institution, or a vocational training institution that grants a degree certification or license  Those atttending the following private institutions will also be eligible:  Adrian colege, Albion College, Baker College-Flint/Owosso, Davenport University- Eastern Region Campus, University of Detroit-Mercy, Finlandia University and Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University.
    • Undergraduate student
    • Children of MEAofficers, fund trustees, and MEA, MESSA and MEA FS staff are not eligile.  (A child of an MEA, MESSA and MEA FS staff person is eligible if the other parent is an MEA member.)


    1. Official high school transcript showing cumulative GPA, including 1st semester senior year, and any higher education course transcripts
    2. SAT and /or ACT score documentation, or explain why it is not included
    3. Personal resume' written by the applicant ( in addition to the Personal Statement within the application
    4. Two letters of recommendation tht address applicant's qualifications in meeting the selection criteria which are in additon to the principal/designee or counselor written statement (may not be a family member or a school principal/designeeor counselor is same as application)
    5. Three signitures of the applicant on required lines
    6. Signature of principal/designee or counselor on statement
